July in Wensleydale & Richmondshire

Constable Burton

Constable Burton Hall & Gardens continues to welcome visitors on selected opening days throughout the summer. One of the highlights this month is the outdoor family theatre production of The Sword in the Stone, taking place on Friday 24th July – a wonderful evening of live entertainment in the stunning gardens.

Leyburn

Leyburn's bustling Market Place is always worth a visit, with independent shops, cafés and the popular Friday Market offering local produce, crafts and Yorkshire treats. Take a stroll up Leyburn Shawl for spectacular views across Wensleydale or enjoy a ride on the heritage Wensleydale Railway.

Bedale

Bedale is perfect for a relaxed afternoon exploring its independent shops, tea rooms and traditional market atmosphere. The nearby Wensleydale Railway also offers a lovely way to see the countryside from a different perspective.

Richmond

Historic Richmond is always a favourite with visitors. Explore Richmond Castle, browse the cobbled market square, enjoy riverside walks along the Swale, or catch a performance at the Georgian Theatre Royal. There are also plenty of cafés, pubs and independent shops to discover.

Finghall

The picturesque village of Finghall offers peaceful walks, beautiful countryside and a traditional Yorkshire atmosphere. It's an ideal place to enjoy a gentle stroll or stop for refreshments while exploring the surrounding villages.
