Spring At Unthank Farm

New Arrivals & Fresh Beginnings

6 May 2026

As the days grow longer and spring settles in, we’re overjoyed to share all the new life unfolding on Unthank Farm. Firstly Myself (Andrew) & Becky have really settled in to our new adventure and are really looking forward for whats to come, We are now 6 months into running Unthank Farm Caravan Site and we have had a very busy April, and have a lot of bookings to look forward to for the month of May. We have met so many lovely new people who have come to visit us, and everyone has brought such warmth to the farm. We really look forward to seeing you all again soon, and we’re so excited for the future at Unthank Farm.

After a long, wet, cold winter, The young Cows have been turned out onto the fresh pastures adjacent to both sites. These cows, full of youthful energy, are relishing their newfound freedom, bounding across the fields. Additionally our new pygmy goats (Clover & Fern) have quickly settled in and have very quickly captured everyone’s hearts. We've built them a very robust new pen allowing them to enjoy both outdoor adventures and cozy indoor naps because as we all know they are very good escape artists. They love showing off and are always getting up to all kinds of mischief! Our chickens have also started to lay now and some off our residents are enjoying our fresh free range eggs for their breakfast. A real taste to the countryside!!

Meanwhile, we’re gearing up for our first cut of silage, ensuring a strong feed supply for the cows, and just opposite Sunset Meadows, our crop fields are starting to grow. A little bit later, we’ll be gearing up for harvest season. It’s a season of growth and connection, and we can’t wait to share every step with you. Come visit soon and enjoy the wonders of spring at Unthank Farm.

Finally in just a few weeks time, Our local village Finghall is gearing up for a truly special day on 23rd May as the much-loved Barrel Push and Village Fete returns to mark its 40th anniversary—and there’s no better way to experience it than by staying right here with us. This cherished local tradition brings together residents and visitors alike for an afternoon of friendly competition, community spirit, and celebration, with the ever-entertaining barrel push, classic fete stalls, classic cars, games, and plenty of food and drink. Make a weekend of it by booking a pitch at our caravan site, where you can relax in peaceful surroundings while being just moments from the festivities. With everything on your doorstep, you can soak up the atmosphere by day and unwind by night. Spaces are limited, so we recommend securing your pitch early for this landmark celebration.
